Choosing an Alternative to Traditional Water Softener Systems
Here at ScaleBlaster, we’ve worked hard to create a water softener system that is both effective and eco-friendly. We know how frustrating it can be to live with hard water. The limescale is difficult to clean and it corrodes a home’s plumbing infrastructure. It is a challenge to remove limescale from pipe walls. Additionally, hard water has an off-putting mineral taste, and prevents soap from lathering properly. We’ve spent over two decades in this industry and we’ve used all of our experience to create this unique water system. Our products combat all the problems of hard water without resorting to harsh chemicals. Plus, our system is easy to install, requires little maintenance, and is highly durable.
Water Treatment and Advanced Technology
People have been dealing with hard water for decades and prior to the invention of our product, most water softening methods used salt or other chemicals. ScaleBlaster, on the other hand, relies on chemistry and a wave generator to prevent limescale buildup. Our technologically advanced system is easy to install and lasts over twice as long as a traditional water softener system. We are confident that our computerized system is the best way to remove limescale and prevent the problems of hard water.
We designed our system to be easily installed by homeowners. Its advanced technology uses an electric field instead of chemicals. This means homeowners are no longer required to carry heavy bags of salt to feed into a water treatment system or to worry about harmful effects to themselves or the environment. Our device is attached to the outside of the main water feed into the house, and that’s all there is to it.
How it Works
Hard water has a high concentration of minerals, most notably calcium and magnesium. These ions are responsible for the limescale deposits that build up in sinks, tubs, and inside water pipes. Traditional water softeners work by exchanging the calcium and magnesium ions with double the amount of sodium ions. These ion-exchange systems, however, are inefficient, release chlorides into the water stream, and require constant maintenance by the homeowner.
Our system, on the other hand, is eco-friendly and practically maintenance free. Instead of using salt or other chemicals to remove the calcium and magnesium ions, our method uses an oscillating electric field. Our device produces a complex, modulated waveform that oscillates rapidly over a range of frequencies. This signal actually disrupts the calcium ions on a molecular level. The electric field modifies the physical size and shape of the calcium ions, as well as their electrical charge. This change destroys the calcium ions’ ability to stick to each other and to other surfaces such as pipe walls. The results are astounding: soft water, clean pipes, and no limescale buildup.
