Every so often we use this platform to answer some of the most common questions that customers have about the ScaleBlaster hard water descaler. Here are a few of the questions we are often asked.
What is Hard Water?
Hard water is water that contains a high level of minerals like calcium and magnesium. These minerals can build up in pipes, appliances, and even on our skin and hair, causing problems like clogs and dryness.
How Does a Hard Water Descaler Work?
Descaling is the process of removing mineral deposits from water. The ScaleBlaster hard water descaler produces an oscillating electronic field using a unique and complex modulating frequency wave form that changes the physical shape, size, and charge of the calcium molecule structure of the minerals, thus preventing them from sticking to surfaces. So, limescale will no longer form on anything within the pipes or home that encounters hard water. Water scale removal of pre-existing water scale occurs as the surface tension of the water is lessened. This prevents new scale from forming while also removing any existing scale.
Why is an Electronic Water Descaler Preferred Over Water Softeners
The ScaleBlaster electronic water descaler is an eco-friendly water softener alternative because it requires no salt or chemicals so it doesn’t discharge chlorides into the waste stream. It is also heathier for pets and people on reduced sodium diets.
What Happens Once I Install My Electronic Descaling System?
Many ScaleBlaster users have reported softer skin and hair, better soap lather, cleaner dishes, brighter/whiter laundry, and longer lasting appliances and fixtures. They also appreciate the cost savings, especially when it comes to tankless water heaters that no longer require frequent maintenance due to water scale.
