We are continuing our series of articles highlighting some of the benefits of utilizing an industrial hard water descaler in a wastewater plant. Our previous articles covered the benefits it brings to the treatment of lime and soda ash, how it prevents resin bed calcification, and the fact that it reduces polymer usage. Today, we will look are more reasons why wastewater plants need a dependable industrial hard water descaling solution.
Effluent System Benefits
Heavy concentrations of calcium carbonate cause limescale that clogs the discharge line. An industrial hard water descaler is a limescale eliminator that not only performs existing water scale removal, but prevents new scale from forming, thus keeping effluent system discharge lines free from limescale.
Prevent Scale on Pumps
Pumps are prone to limescale, especially chlorine injection pumps that emit chlorine into the treatment stream. An industrial hard water descaling solution such as ScaleBlaster will help keep pumps clean and operational.
Our next article will take a closer look at reasons why wastewater operations should implement an ecofriendly water softener alternative such as the ScaleBlaster electronic descaling system.
If you are the facilities manager for a wastewater operations plant, we welcome the opportunity to talk with you. ScaleBlaster is a hard water descaler that has been used in industrial operations for more than three decades. As a limescale eliminator, it’s capable of water scale removal and tackling existing scale. It also prevents new scale from forming so scale essentially becomes a problem of the past.
