Wastewater treatment plants need effective lime scale removal treatment to run efficiently. Often times, a commercial water softener is used to combat lime scale and other problems associated with wastewater treatment. However, commercial water softeners are costlier, require lots of maintenance and come with their own set of issues. Water treatment plants are discovering the benefits of using an electronic water descaler such as ScaleBlaster. Let’s examine the primary reasons why wastewater treatment plants are choosing ScaleBlaster over chemical methods:
- Maintenance and labor free
- Removes and controls lime scale
- Prevent scale deposits on pumps, especially when soda ash is used to treat low pH
- Prevents calcification of the resin bed
- May reduce polymer usage and increase dewatering capabilities
- Protects sensors, probes and control valves as well as effluent system discharge lines
- Uses no chemicals
- Environmentally safe and friendly
